Shawn understands firsthand how loss, mental health, and addiction can affect every aspect of a person’s life, including their narrative as he was forced to reevaluate his own narrative when he lost a child to suicide. His focus is on empowering people to help change their narratives (how they view themselves) in order to live the life they desire.

His areas of mental health treatment are focused on addiction, anxiety, anger issues, depression, self-harm, trauma, and fragmented family systems in both inpatient and outpatient settings. His patient base includes adolescents, young adults, and adults.

Shawn creates a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship to serve as the basis for healing. His training includes, but is not limited to, the therapeutic modalities of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt. He works with each client to create a treatment plan that suits their personality and needs.

Shawn also is the author of Louder Than Bombs, Mighty Words From Mighty Women, and Habits of Successful People.
