Carolyn is an intern currently completing her clinical field placement as part of her Master of Social Work from Florida State University. She earned her BSW from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she received the Excellence in Field Award.

She is especially passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate the impacts of childhood trauma and emotional neglect, religious trauma, complex relationships, and other life challenges. With compassion and insight, she supports clients in building emotional regulation skills and reconnecting with their inner resilience.

Carolyn works from an eclectic, trauma-informed perspective and collaborates closely with clients. Her approach is warm and grounded, and she is deeply attuned to each client’s unique story—honoring their lived experiences, inner wisdom, and personal goals.

Rooted in feminist theory, Carolyn is dedicated to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and guided by social justice values. She strives to co-create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.

Outside of work she enjoys time with friends, connecting with her young adult children, and playing board games with her husband. She also enjoys reading, discovering new coffee shops, and all things autumn,
